Claire Mason, founded & is CEO & Clinical Coordinator of Universal Rehabilitation Services (and Universal Integrated Healthcare) in Houston, Texas. After graduating from the University of Florida in Health-Related Professions and Occupational Therapy, she implemented a department at AMI's (American Medical International) Parkway Hospital in Southern Fla. When the department statistics, outcomes, & profits were highest in the nation, she became the youngest appointee to AMI's leadership committee where she helped plan new programs for expanding and acquiring hospitals nationwide.
In Texas, Claire became knowledgeable & skilled in the implementation, development & management of rehab units and other specialty units. In addition, she simultaneously took responsibility for regulatory compliance, reimbursement oversight, risk management, & safety at Rosewood Hospital. She then began a successful business consulting & implementing services for a wide variety of healthcare companies and facilities spanning many states while owning clinics locally. She served TOTA as state rep to Medicare, Medicaid & 3rd party payers and later agreed to also be on the committee to write a state law for OT and take it through legislative approval & enactment, which was done.
Keeping her hand on those in need, she formed groups to empower the disabled, help businesses and the handicapped workforce within the community, was appointed to the Governor's committee for Disability, created & worked in the "Foundation for Children" to assist abused children and completed a proprietary, unique, patient-focused, software program now used by her professionals & clients. Her post-graduate studies have focused not only in traditional medicine & healthcare, but also in areas of integrative medicine where she holds additional certifications including those in CMHIMP (certified integrative medicine practitioner) & light therapy.
